"Ward 7 deserves a councillor who actually lives here, shows up, listens, and follows through — one who puts our community first, every time."
— Zulfi Malik, Candidate for Ward 7
Why Zulfi?
A Resident. A Neighbour. A Leader.
Ward 7 doesn't need another politician. It needs someone who actually lives here, understands the challenges, and has the experience to get things done.
I Live Here
I've built my life and raised my family in Ward 7. This isn't a stepping stone — it's my home.
I Understand Families
I understand the challenges facing families as Oakville grows — schools, safety, traffic, and the cost of living.
Real-World Experience
Finance, business, investment, and 20+ years in real estate give me the skills Town Hall actually needs.
I Show Up
A councillor should listen, respond, and follow through. I will hold myself publicly accountable to every commitment.
LISTEN. ACT. DELIVER.
A councillor who listens to residents, acts on the issues that matter, and reports back on the results.
Community Voice
Ward 7 Priority Pulse
What should I focus on? Vote for the issues that matter most to you. One vote per issue — takes 10 seconds, and the results shape my platform focus.
E-Scooter & E-Bike Safety
They're everywhere now and nobody knows the safety rules. Let's fix that before someone gets hurt.
Snow Removal & Winter Access
Sidewalks shouldn't be an obstacle course for days after a snowfall. The Town should do better.
Trees & Green Spaces
Every time they build something new, another tree comes down. At some point there'll be nothing left.
Transit & Bus Routes
If the bus doesn't go where we need to go, it's not really transit.
Cycling Infrastructure
Safe, connected cycling routes that work for commuters and families alike.
Speeding on Neighbourhood Streets
Speeding on North Park Blvd, 16 Mile Drive, Trailside Drive and others must be addressed urgently.
Rapid Intensification Along Dundas
Addressing the real impacts of rapid development along the Dundas Corridor on our daily lives.
Excessive Vehicle Noise
A big increase in noise from cars and motorcycles along Dundas and Trafalgar. Sound cameras like Burlington's could help.
More & Better Pickleball Courts
Quality courts with proper flooring and wind barriers in more parks across Ward 7.
Platform
My Platform — 7 Commitments
A clear plan for Ward 7, built around what residents actually need.
Road Safety for All
Traffic calming, safer crossings, and speed enforcement on North Park Blvd, 16 Mile Drive, and every neighbourhood street.
Neighbourhood Safety
Upgraded lighting, by-law enforcement, and community policing partnerships to keep every corner of Ward 7 safe.
Controlled & Responsible Growth
Smart planning along the Dundas Corridor that ensures infrastructure keeps pace with development and protects neighbourhood character.
Timely & Reliable Snow Removal
Sidewalks and roads cleared promptly after every snowfall — because safe winter access is a basic service Ward 7 residents deserve.
Schools & Daycare for Our Kids
Advocating for accessible, affordable childcare and well-resourced schools so every Ward 7 family can thrive.
Transparency at Town Hall
Bringing openness and accountability to every council decision — residents deserve to know what's being decided and why.
Council Accountability
Holding council to the highest standards — regular resident updates, accessible town halls, and votes that reflect Ward 7 priorities.

What Residents Are Saying
Zulfi actually came to our street to see the pothole situation firsthand. That kind of hands-on approach is exactly what Ward 7 needs.
