Platform & Issues
A Plan for Ward 7
Real priorities. Practical solutions. A councillor who shows up every day.
Built on What Residents Told Me
After months of conversations with Ward 7 families, seniors, business owners, and young people, four clear priorities emerged. These aren't talking points — they're the issues residents raised at doorsteps, community events, and neighbourhood meetings. This platform is built on what I heard.
Safer Streets & Smarter Infrastructure
Ward 7 families deserve streets that are safe to walk, cycle, and drive on — with infrastructure that keeps pace with our growing community.
- Traffic calming measures on high-risk residential corridors
- Improved crosswalk infrastructure near schools and parks
- Better street lighting in parks, pathways, and transit stops
- Faster response to pothole and road repair requests
- Advocate for cycling infrastructure and regulate the use of e-bikes and scooters on the streets
Protecting Green Spaces & the Environment
The parks, ravines, and natural areas of Ward 7 are part of what makes Oakville special. I will fight to protect and enhance them for future generations.
- Stronger tree canopy protections and urban forestry investment
- Meaningful community consultation on all development applications
- Improved park maintenance and accessible playground equipment
- Support for naturalized green corridors and biodiversity initiatives
- Oppose overdevelopment that threatens Ward 7's character and green space
Strong Community Services & Support
Every Ward 7 resident — from young families to seniors — deserves access to the services and support that help them thrive.
- Advocate for expanded recreation programming for youth and seniors
- Support voices of my colleagues in the region to improve policing.
- Improve transit connections within Ward 7 and to the broader Oakville network
- Work with community organizations to address food security and social isolation
- Ensure Ward 7 receives its fair share of Town capital investment
Accountable & Accessible Local Government
Ward 7 residents deserve a councillor who is reachable, responsive, and transparent — someone who treats every constituent with respect.
- Regular ward-wide town halls and neighbourhood meetings
- Transparent reporting on Council votes and budget decisions
- A responsive constituency office that returns calls and emails promptly
- Proactive communication on development, infrastructure, and Town projects
"I'm not running to hold a title. I'm running to do the work — every single day — for the people of Ward 7."
